Kim in the Kitchen

Hi! This little blurb is gonna be about me! I’m Kim, the one in the kitchen! I love to cook and do crafty things. Occasionally, I will create my own meal with whatever I find in my fridge.

Huntsville, Alabama is where I like to claim as my residence now. I have one roommate, Amanda, who is very picky eater, so we rarely cook together. However, our favorite meal (what we dub our “roommate meal”) is spaghetti with extra chunky mushroom sauce and yummy garlic bread. Most of the time that is enjoyed with a nice glass of wine.

By day, I work at an attorney’s office, but by night, I’m chef Kim serving 2 or more! I love to cook for my boyfriend Nate, but he’s really hard to cook for. I try to think of creative ways to make him eat vegetables, like casseroles or pureed into something. He loves almost everything I cook, just not the vegetables. He does like my green beans though!

My favorite spice is garlic salt! You cannot go wrong with it. I add it to most every meal! Mushrooms would just happen to be the greatest food of all time.  Those can really go on anything! I used to be extremely addicted to coffee, but I have really cut back so that I don’t get caffeine headaches when I miss it. I hate being dependent on something like that, but I do have coffee about 3 times a week.

Some of my hobbies include knitting, learning to sew, cooking, working out, being a finance nerd, reading, and hanging out w/ Nate and/or my friends. I love going to the movies, going out to eat, or cooking in and watching a movie at home! I also love to play “little miss hostess” for any kind of party.
